A $40,000 donation from K-State alums with Accenture has established
the Accenture Network Technology Lab in Calvin Hall for the department
of management. The local area network lab is being used in the Management
Local Network class to teach students about networking. September

Yar Ebadi, dean of the College of Business Administration, has been
honored as a Paul Harris Fellow by the Manhattan Rotary Club. The
honor is the highest recognition Rotary awards to its members who
have distinguished themselves both in their careers and through
their support of the ideals of the organization. Ebadi was recognized
for his personal and professional successes while overcoming adversity
in his native Afghanistan. August 2003

Dann Fisher, K-State associate professor of accounting, has been
recognized as one of the most prolific writers in the nation on
the topic of business ethics. He was cited in an article in the
Journal of Business Ethics as one of the most productive business
ethics authors for the five year period 1995-99. Fisher was ranked
third among accounting authors, and 28th out of nearly 2,400 business
ethics authors. He also was ranked 12th for the number of pages
published. K-State received a 44th ranking among institutions in
the same article, written by Murray Sabrin analyzing the most productive
business ethics authors. May 2003

K-State's accounting program and its successful curriculum modifications
were featured in the September 2002 issue of the Journal of Accountancy
in the article "Educational Innovations." K-State's accounting
program was featured beginning in September 2002 as a "Best
Practice" in the educator's section of the American Institute
of Certified Public Accountant's Web site. March 2003
