Libin joined Dr. Welti’s lab, the Kansas Lipidomics Research Center, at KSU in 2008. She is in charge of GC-MS and GC-FID analysis of lipid samples, including sample extraction, lipid derivatization, data acquisition, data processing, GC instrument maintenance, etc. She also collaborates with other investigators on their research projects.

Libin is originally from Beijing, China, and received a B.S. degree from Beijing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine. She studied the theory, materials, formulation, pharmacology, quality control, and clinical applications of traditional Chinese medicine, with courses focusing on chemistry, medicine, and biology. Her previous employment experience includes working in a research lab for Beijing Dongfeng Pharmaceutical Company and at Beijing Anzhen Hospital in the pharmacy department.
