Zanri Pieterse is an international student from South Africa. She is an undergraduate student in the Department of Biology, majoring in Cell and Molecular Biology with a Pre-Med focus.

Zanri is working alongside Zolian S. Zoong Lwe, a Ph.D. student in the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biophysics. She will be assisting him on his project concerning a gene in Arabidopsis that, when mutated, causes the plants to senesce early and exhibit an altered lipid profile.

Zanri is excited to learn critical lab skills that will assist her in her future studies. Outside of the lab, Zanri enjoys being active. She is on the K-State Swimming and Diving Club and enjoys practicing and spending time with fellow members.
