The Mary Lynn and Warren Staley School of Leadership Studies offers several opportunities for current students, graduate students and professionals to work with us. For Current K-State students
Are you interested in working while at K-State? Leadership Studies has opportunities, right on campus!
Student Staff: Students work in a variety of work capacities including leading building tours, interacting with prospective students, assisting faculty/staff with projects, answering telephones and other administrative duties. Please fill out the Employment Application and include your resume and current class schedule. We are not currently hiring for student staff.
LEAD 212 Class Leaders: LEAD 212 Class Leaders are junior or senior Leadership Studies minors who help teach the large lecture sections of LEAD 212 - Introduction to Leadership Concepts. The application process begins in the spring semester every year.
Applications for 212 Class Leaders are currently being accepted for Fall 2015. Applications are due by 5 PM on Friday, January 30, 2015.
Steps to becoming a class leader:
- Read the LEAD 212 Class Leader Application Packet
- Apply to be a LEAD 212 Class Leader by submitting the application packet online (via Qualtrics survey) by 5:00 PM on Friday, January 30, 2015.
- Applications will be reviewed by Staley School faculty and staff

Academic Mentors: Students work throughout the Greater Manhattan area to include the cities of Ogden and Wamego. As part of this Community Service Federal Work Study program, students work a minimum of 10 hours per week and must be eligible for Federal Work Study. Applications are currently being accepted.
Program Coordinators: Students work with and lead our various programs at the Staley School. Students are responsible for coordinating and leading each program. See the "Get Involved" tab to learn more about each program. Applications are accepted at various times for each program.

For Graduate Students
Graduate teaching and research assistantships are available each year for qualified candidates. Teaching Assistant duties consist of teaching and related activities associated with undergraduate students. Research Assistant duties consist of working under the direction of a major professor. The total time commitment is approximately 20 hours per week and includes a tuition waiver and stipend.
