How can I get a copy of the book?
First year students
First year students going through June enrollment on the Manhattan receive a copy of the book during orientation.
Faculty
If you are a faculty member at the Manhattan or Salina campus and plan to incorporate the book into a fall class, please contact us at ksbn@k-state.edu and let us know your name, campus address, the name of the course in which you plan to use the book, and a few details about how you might use the book with students this fall.
Borrow it from the Sigma Tau Delta Lending Library
Sigma Tau Delta is an International English Honor Society with over 800 chapters, including the K-State Chapter. Sigma Tau Delta Members, both undergraduate and graduate, share a mission to promote literature, language, and writing across college campuses and surrounding communities.
Sigma Tau Delta has teamed up with KSBN to create the Lending Library as a way to provide the K-State Common Book to all students on campus.
How can I get a copy of the book?
You can purchase personal copies of Ready Player One at Varney’s and at the K-State Union Bookstore. You can also borrow a copy of the book from

- Salina Library
- eBook (both Kindle and Adobe ePUB) from Sunflower eLibrary (public library card required)
- Public Library (Junction City, Manhattan, Salina)
