About iTAC
The Information Technology Assistance Center provides centralized information technology support to the faculty, staff, and students of Kansas State University. The goal of iTAC is to be the first point of contact for campus information technology needs by providing these technical support services to faculty and staff.
iTAC 2011 goals
- Strive for decision-making processes that considers analytics, established standards (ITIL, ITSM), centralized policies and procedures, quality of service, and sustainable practices for IT.
- Improve processes and procedures to provide better service, eliminate waste and redundancies and offer new products and services.
- Improve internal and external communications and extend our outreach to reflect critical internal change, emerging technology services, opportunities for technological learning and feedback from the community.
- Work with the library to rethink, repurpose, and innovate state-of-the-art technologies in a changing library environment.
- Collaborate with units across campus to envision and improve user centered innovative, interactive environments.
- Explore new training opportunities for faculty, staff and students.
- Provide the platform for innovative, state-of-the-art educational technologies that support teaching, learning, research, technology transfer, public service and other outreach efforts.
- Research and dream digital products and technology investments that are cost effective, user driven, and tech intelligent.
- Search for and secure alternative funding sources (grants, collaborations, vendor support and more) to provide products and services for campus.
- Promote the health and wealth of iTAC students and staff.
