On-Campus Housing

On-campus housing at K-State offers many benefits for students. Residence halls on-campus offer students easy access to everything on campus, wireless internet, laundry facilities, computer labs, study lounges, and meal plans.

While there are also off-campus housing options, we strongly recommend living on-campus, especially in your first year. In fact, students who live on-campus during their first two years of study often receive better grades.

Manhattan Campus

The Manhattan campus has ten residence halls and on-campus apartments. Four residence halls in the Derby Complex offer "continuous housing" and remain open during school vacations, which can be helpful for students wishing to stay during breaks. Explore which on-campus residence option is right for you

Three dining centers service Manhattan campus residents. Our award-winning dining program offers excellent menu options including meals that meet religious and other dietary needs (including all-vegetarian and halal). View our current menus.

 Off-Campus Housing

Some students choose to live off campus by renting an apartment or a room in a house. Many rental options are within close proximity to campus, and students may walk, bike or drive to campus each day. Cost, quality, and amenities vary greatly in off-campus housing, which is why we strongly recommend living on-campus in your first year.
