Building History

Pittman Hall, constructed in 1967 at a cost of $851,000, serves as the administrative center for the director, assistants, and personnel responsible for managing the residence halls and the Jardine housing complex. It is named in honor of Dr. Martha S. Pittman, who served as the head of the Department of Food Economics and Nutrition from 1923 to 1944.
