International Student Orientation Programs

August 17, 2017 Ice Cream Social 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM

August 20, 2017 Welcome Picnic 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM

At the beginning of spring and fall semester, ICC helps during the new international students orientation week to help them get acclimated to a new environment.

ICC hosts welcome events that include a picnic, ice cream social, and pizza party. The welcome events serve as a great opportunity for Americans and current international students to meet new friends from around the world and share helpful information.

ICC Game Night

September 8, 2017 at the ISC 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM

Join us in a fun night with games, prizes, free soda and snacks. It is a great opportunity to meet new people, learn about ICC coming events and enjoy the evening.

ICC Championships

September 30 - October 8, 2017

Through collaboration with Recreation Services at K-State, ICC coordinates a week long series of sporting competitions to celebrate cultural understanding and sensitivity through sports. It is a great opportunity to promote cultural understanding between domestic and international students. By playing on teams, people from different backgrounds celebrate friendship. 

International Food Festival

November 12, 2017 Jardine Frith Community Center

With representation from over 5 countries, ICC organized an international food festival that showcased cuisines from around the world. International students volunteered their time to prepare some of their traditional foods to share with others. Through food, people of all nationalities joined together to learn and exchange culture. 

International Week

ICC is the annual host of International Week. Every spring semester, ICC works in collaboration with various International Student Organizations to create a week of celebration and display of music, dance, fashion and culture around the world. Events and activities include: 

  • Fashion Show
  • Parade and Game Day 
  • Cultural Exhibition
  • Panel Discussion
  • Dance Lessons 
  • Talent Show  

Spring 2018 International Week April 8-15, 2018

Friends of ICC we sincerely thank you so much for all of your support and assistance during International Week. Last week was a wonderful and successful week of events! We couldn't have done it without you. 

International Coordinating Council wants to specifically thank all of the student organizations that participated in 2013 International Week. They are listed below:

Africa Student Union, Besitos, Chinese Student and Scholars Union, Colombian Association of KSU, Ecuadorian Student Association, Egyptian Student Association, India Student Association, Iranian Graduate Student Association, Japanese Student Association, Japanese Yosakoi Dance Club, Korean Student Association, KSU Swing and Salsa Club, Malaysian Student Association, Nepalese Student Association, Philippine Student Association, Sun Yi Taekwondo Academy, Thai Student Association, The Saudi Club, and the Vietnamese Student Association.

And all other international students and friends from the countries listed below that participated in International Week: Afghanistan, Armenia, Bangladesh, Botswana, Cameroon, Canada, Costa Rica, Ethiopia, France, Germany, Honduras, Hungary, Indonesia, Jordan, Mexico, Mozambique, Nigeria, Pakistan, Russia, Rwanda, Spain, Sri Lanka , Turkey, and the United States

We want to also thank the K-STATE UNION, PEPSI, SGA , UPC, and the "home of international students"-International Students and Scholars Services. All of the organizations and individuals that provided us support and assistance during this fun and exciting week we thank you! 2013 International Week successfully presented one of most culturally diverse groups at Kansas State University –International Students.
