The Kansas State University Herbarium is a research natural history
museum of dried plant specimens numbering approximately 200,000.
The collection has a regional focus on the Great Plains of central
North America, and is particularly significant for its historical
holdings from the late 1800s.
What's
new?
All Kansas and North American vascular plant specimens (>129,000) have been
databased! Herbarium databasing is ongoing for specimens from outside of North
America and we will soon begin to database our 8,000+ bryophyte specimens.
Data can be accessed in a variety of ways. Please
see the Database Access page for information. (9/25/2009)
