Governmental Relations

The K-State President's Office - Governmental Relations represents the Board of Regent's budget, policy, and program interests to the Office of the Governor, the Kansas Legislature, the United States Congress, state agencies and agencies of the federal government.

Governmental Relations staff engage in lobbying individual Kansas and federal legislators regarding appropriations to the Kansas Board of Regents and policy legislation affecting Regents, and represent K-State before committees of the Legislature and Congress.They also coordinate legislative activities on the K-State campus and coordinate with external advocates of public higher education in Kansas and D.C.
