Human Systems Consulting is available to all faculty and staff of Kansas State University at no cost to the person or persons receiving services. The service is designed to help resolve problems with workplace relationship issues and can focus on communication, relationship style, stress management, attitude, and other related issues.
The Office of Academic Personnel assists the provost, deans, department heads and faculty, in employment related matters relative to faculty and unclassified professionals as well as assuring compliance with university policies, federal and state legislation, and Board of Regent's policy.
The Office of Diversity and Dual Career Development has a two-prong focus: 1) It works with all sectors of the University to enhance racial and cultural diversity and create a campus environment that fosters both academic excellence and appreciation of diversity. 2) It provides support to spouses of faculty and staff members who are seeking employment on campus and/or in the Manhattan and surrounding communities.
At K-State an ombudsperson is a faculty member or an unclassified professional assigned to assist faculty members and unclassified professionals with problems related to employment.
LIFELINE is a voluntary, confidential, FREE, service that provides eligible employees* and their dependents with professional counseling and referral services. LIFELINE employee benefits provide both telephone counseling and referral and 1-4 visits with a professional counselor.
K-State developed an interim policy on Mediation for faculty and unclassified personnel in 2001. Mediation programs have become more common on university and college campuses throughout the United States as one option in resolving disputes. It is very important to K-State that employees feel comfortable & safe in the work place and that you are being treated fairly.
