Thank you for your interest to be a part of the Kappa Sigma Upsilon Chapter at Kansas State University. Our student organization is composed of students who currently major in a field related to, or in part of, the criminal justice field. This includes, but not limited to, Criminology, Pre-Law, Chemistry (Forensics) and the Law Enforcement Option for Park Management & Conservation. However, membership is not restricted to students who major in these fields. Students who have taken at least 1 course of study related to law and justice, or have contributed to community service for a criminal justice agency (e.g. court, police department, etc), may apply as well.
Within our activities, we encourage and educate students to grow and prosper as a person, as a leader, and as a potential future professional in the criminal justice field, including courts, forensic science, or any other type of agency or organization they attempt to pursue. We network with various professionals who currently maintain membership with the American Criminal Justice Association; this allowing us to make professional connections. The Grand Chapter of our institution promotes Regional and National Conferences every year in order to come together for a common purpose; to establish a thorough understanding of the field of law and justice, the objectives set forth by Grand Chapter and provide development opportunities.
If you would like to be a part of a great tradition that started since 1937, I highly encourage you to apply. Below, you will find a prospective member questionnaire. Once it is completed, please contact the Director for Recruitment to schedule an interview.
Best of luck to you in your academic and professional endeavors!
