Tool #38. Have child repeat the action

Difficulty: Advanced Type: Guidance Ages: 2-16
Definition:
If children are careless or indifferent in their performance of a reasonable expectation, have them repeat the action correctly.

Example:
bulletWhen told to clean up her room, a 6-year-old throws all of her toys and dirty clothes into her closet. Mother tells her to clean up again, this time putting the toys into the toy box and clothes into the dirty clothes container.
