Short Biography:
I was born in Dodge City, KS and raised in Kansas until my sophomore year of high school when my family moved to Yukon, OK where I graduated from Mustang High School in Mustang, OK. I married Randy Slover my senior year of high school. We have lived in a variety of states. We raised our two daughters (Mindy and Amber) around the Manhattan area. We have 5 grandchildren living in two states (Missouri and Colorado). We have lived north of Manhattan for 19 years in the country. Besides the coyotes, it is a pretty quiet and peaceful location.
Brief Work History:
I have worked for K-State since July 18, 1983 in a variety of positions. I started in custodial services then went to work at Lafene Health Center. From there I went to the Voucher Auditing Section of the Controller's Office. Shortly thereafter, I went to work for the Department of Statistics where I stated for 5 years. Then in 1992 I began working for the Department of Housing and Dining Services where I held 2 positions over my nearly 22 years with them. My last promotion in 2013 is when I began working for the Office of the Registrar.
Personal Interests:
I enjoy going to auctions and refinishing old furniture and collecting pyrex bowls. Fortunately, my husband is supportive of these endeavors so it works out pretty well.
