Biography
TSgt Benjamin R. Rush is the Enlisted Training Instructor (8B300) for AFROTC Detachment 270 at Kansas State University in Manhattan, Kansas. He serves as the primary enlisted advisor on cadet academics, professional development, military training discipline and morale/welfare for cadre, AFIT students, and AFROTC cadets. He also monitors and updates cadet pay actions-tuition, fees, subsistence and textbook funds. In addition, he oversees the cadet life cycle, personnel actions, medical, physical, enlistments, categorization and commissioning
TSgt Rush entered the Air Force in March 2014. He graduated technical training at Shepard Air Force Base in November 2014. Over the last 11 years of active-duty service, he has served as the subject matter expert for Avionics systems on HH-60G, MC-130J, and HC-130J aircraft and deployed in support of Operation OCTAVE QUARTZ. Prior to his current assignment, TSgt Rush served as an HH-60G Electronic Warfare Systems Journeyman at Nellis AFB Nevada, MC-130J Electronic Warfare Craftsman at RAF Mildenhall, United Kingdom, Electronic Warfare NCOIC, and Heavy Avionics Craftsman for the 71st Rescue Generation Squadron, Moody Air Force Base, Georgia.
