Biography
Capt. Aileen Lauer is a currently is the Recruiting Officer and an Assistant Professor of Aerospace Studies (APAS) at Detachment 270, Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps (AFROTC) at Kansas State University (KSU), Manhattan, Kansas. She is responsible for educating, training, and inspiring more than 70 highly qualified prospective Air Force and Space Force Officers.
Captain Lauer commissioned in 2020 through the Air Force Officer Training School at Maxwell Air Force Base, Alabama. She has supervised teams at the wing and MAJCOM level and has led PA operations during numerous exercises and missions in the U.S., Germany, France, United Kingdom, Finland, and Spain.
In her previous assignment, Captain Lauer was the Plans, Programs and Assessments Division Chief, U.S. Air Forces in Europe – Air Forces Africa, Ramstein Air Base, Germany. There she was responsible for public affairs and information warfare activities for four component commands representing 36,000 U.S. Air Force Airmen and U.S. Space Force Guardians, and more than 200 aircraft spread throughout nearly 90 operating locations across USAFE-AFAFRICA’s 104-nation area of responsibility.
