Reasons K-Staters Give to United Way

I've been associated with the Riley County/K-State United Way campaign for more than 15 years and served on the allocations committee. I've seen for myself that each of the agencies funded believes in their mission 100 percent and that the sponsored agencies do outstanding work.

I give to United Way because all the agencies receiving funds are worthwhile. You also can pick one agency to donate to, like the Boy Scouts. My boys were both in Boy Scouts, so I know their programs help boys build good character and leadership qualities.
