About the TRAIN Lab

The Thermal-hydraulics Research and AI for Nuclear (TRAIN) Lab advances the field of nuclear reactor thermal-hydraulics by integrating high-fidelity modeling and experimentation with artificial intelligence and machine learning. Our mission is to improve reactor design, operation, performance, and safety through detailed investigations of critical single- and two-phase flow phenomena. The TRAIN Lab supports research across both current light-water reactors and next-generation advanced reactor technologies.
