Jazz at the Purple Masque

Under the direction of Wayne Goins, university distinguished professor of jazz studies, the KSU Combos and Big Band will perform shows at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 30, and Wednesday, May 1, at the at the Purple Masque Theatre in West Memorial Stadium, located directly behind the K-State Alumni Center and across from St. Isidore's Church. 

Tickets can be purchased at $10 for attendance. All events will also be catered by JP's, along with a cash bar. Open seating will be available, so attendees are encouraged to arrive early.

Goins, director of jazz studies at Kansas State University, has performed with such greats as legendary guitarist Kenny Burrell, alto saxophonist Bobby Watson, trumpeter Clark Terry, tenor saxophonist Joe Lovano, organist Jimmy McGriff and many others. Learn more
