College of Education to celebrate military-connected students, faculty and staff at luncheon

Submitted by Patrice Scott

Military-connected faculty, staff and students in the College of Education are invited to an informal lunch in honor of Veterans Day at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 9, in Bluemont Hall Room 21.

The College of Education has a long and proud history of supporting military-connected students in several ways. Its Military Initiatives Committee works directly with K-State's Office of Military and Veterans Affairs to build positive relationships with surrounding military bases and communities.

Additional efforts include the college's documentary, "A Walk in My Shoes: Military Life," a connection to the Governor's Military Council and serving as the state's representative of the Troops to Teachers program.

RSVP to Dustin Meritt at ddm4774@k-state.edu by Monday, Nov. 6.
