Attend annual Earth Day event Friday, April 21

Submitted by Chloe Wallace

Celebrate the planet and learn how you can make a difference at the annual K-State Earth Day event from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, April 21, at Bosco Student Plaza.

Stop by the Students for Environmental Action's table for a T-Shirt swap, seed starters and vegan recipes. Learn from campus groups how electric cars and home solars work, and learn about the on-campus recycling program.

Check out a variety of student group tables to find out what is going on at K-State and how you can get involved. Representatives from the Agricultural Education Club, Ecology Club, K-State Soil and Water Conservation Society, Wildlife Society, Electric Vehicle Club and the K-State Student Farm will have information and activities.

Additionally, the K-State Recycling Center, K-State Environmental Science Program, and Flint Hills Renewable Energy and Efficiency Co-op will be there to talk about their work.

Ellen's Planted Tea, a local small business, will be selling its products too.

Note: Some tables may be moved into the K-State Student Union due to weather.
