Black History 365 events continue this week
Continuing the Black History 365 celebration, several events will take place this week.
Feb. 22: "My Favorite Black Author!" Learn about Black authors and bring your favorite book to share from 11:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. in Rooms 204/205 in the Multicultural Student Center.
Feb. 27: "Why are People Afraid of Multicultural Children's Books?" Join Philip Nel, university distinguished professor of English, as he discusses his research regarding the importance of diverse representation in coursework from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in 181 Hale Library.
Feb. 28: "Mr. David Baker Makes History!" Join us from 12:15-1:15 p.m. at the Shamrock Zone in Bramlage Coliseum as we learn about Kansas State University's first Black baseball coach. Baker made history at K-State and helped build the foundation for future coaches, athletes, students, faculty and staff. The Shamrock Zone connects the concourse on the north side of Bramlage to the south end of Bill Snyder Family Stadium.
