Dean of the College of Health and Human Sciences finalists

The search committee announces two finalists who will interview for the dean of the College of Health and Human Sciences position and invites you to attend the open forums presented by each candidate.

  • Barry Scheuermann, professor of exercise science at the University of Toledo, will interview Nov. 30-Dec. 2. The open forum will be from 4-5 p.m. Dec. 1 in the Bluemont Room, K-State Student Union. A reception will follow from 5-6 p.m. in the same room.
  • Mark Merrick, professor and dean of the College of Health and Human Services at the University of Toledo, will interview Dec. 4-6. The open forum will be from 4-5 p.m.Dec. 5 in 163 Justin Hall. A reception will follow from 5-6 p.m. in Hoffman Lounge in Justin Hall.

The candidate open forum scheduled for Monday, Nov. 28, has been canceled. 

K-Staters are encouraged to review the application materials and attend each open forum and Q&A session titled "Leading the College of Health and Human Sciences Within a Next-Generation Land-Grant University."

Application materials and itinerary for each candidate are available on the provost's search website. Please be prepared to enter your K-State eID and password to access the information. For those unable to attend in person, the open forums will be streamed live and archived on the provost's search website. An online candidate feedback survey is available on that website. Each feedback survey will close at 5 p.m. two days following each candidate's open forum and the presentation will be removed from the website at that time.

Oral or written feedback on the candidates may also be directed to members of the search committee. Please provide feedback no later than Thursday, Dec. 8.
