Student Life and Student Success staff present at national conference on 'Creating Living Learning Communities'

Submitted by Rebeca Paz

In March, Kevin Cook, associate director for Housing and Dining Services; Kiley Moody, program manager for scholar services; Rebeca Paz, assistant director for the Office of First-generation Students; and R.J. Youngblood, assistant director for the Academic Achievement Center, presented at the 2021 National Association of Student Personnel Administrators virtual conference.

Their session, "Creating Living Learning Communities to Foster a Sense of Belonging Among First-generation Students," generated engaging conversations among educators, administrators and practitioners across the nation who are seeking to learn more about best practices to serve first-generation students.

The National Association of Student Personnel Administrators is a leading association for student affairs administrators in higher education and hosts national and regional conferences. The association's annual conference is a global gathering of student affairs educators passionate about critical higher education issues. At the association's 2021 annual conference, more than 7,000 leaders and practitioners of higher education from across the nation and the world gathered to learn, engage and network.
