Music, Theatre, and Dance to host April 30 Date Night, The Second Act

Submitted by School of Music, Theatre, and Dance

Join the School of Music, Theatre, and Dance on Friday, April 30, for a night of dinner and dancing — don't worry, we'll do the dancing and Coco Bolos will make the dinner. That's right, in case you missed the first event, the School of Music, Theatre, and Dance and Coco Bolos are offering one final opportunity to support K-State students in the performing arts. Order your dinner now.

K-State Dance returns to live performance with Spring Dance Concert 2021 at 6:30 p.m. Friday, April 30, in Kansas State University's Memorial Stadium. Five original dance works, one of which features live music, have been developed by K-State Dance faculty choreographers Kate Digby, Stephen Loch and Julie L. Pentz. In the case of inclement weather, the concert will pivot to Zoom where a recording of the dances will be streamed, followed by a Q&A with the students and faculty. Tickets are available online.

Once again, Coco Bolos has created a unique MTD dinner that you won't find on their menus, and they're donating 15% of the proceeds from each meal back to the school. Enjoy this one-time-only meal while supporting K-State students.

Caribbean skewer trio
Includes a bacon-wrapped Caribbean shrimp skewer, Caribbean chicken skewer and steak skewer. Served alongside coconut rice and black beans.

Each meal costs $19.50 — tax included — and can be pre-ordered online through Tuesday, April 27. Order your dinner today. Fifteen percent of all meal proceeds will be donated by Coco Bolos to the school's Retention Scholarship Fund to support students who are struggling to finish their degree because of the economic impact of COVID-19.

The online order form provides additional opportunities to support students. With a $30 donation you'll receive 16 ounces — four servings — of Coco Bolos' famous margarita mix and two engraved stainless steel straws — alcohol excluded. We'll include instructions so you can mix them up at home just like they do at Coco Bolos.

Dinner will be available for pick up from 6-8 p.m. Friday, April 30, just outside the K-State Student Union. Coco Bolos staff will meet you in the circle drive on Martin Luther King Jr. Drive, just north of the parking garage.
