Celebrating K-State's sesquicentennial: Hear about the university's history at today's Brown Bag Lunch and Lecture Series

Submitted by Communications and Marketing

As part of K-State's nine-month sesquicentennial celebration — and more specifically its Brown Bag Lunch and Lecture Series — Cliff Hight, university archivist, will present "University History" today from noon-1 p.m. in the Hemisphere Room on the fifth floor of Hale Library.

Hight will focus on the beginnings of the university, the Morrill Act and how Kansas State University became America's first operational land-grant institution and the state's first public university.

This lecture, as will all 150th brown bag lunch and lectures, is free and open to the public. Bring your lunch and be part of history!
