Volunteers needed for heart rate detection study, includes free DEXA scan

Submitted by Vanessa-Rose G. Turpin

The Brain and Body Sensing Lab in the Mike Wiegers Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering and the Clinical Integrative Physiology Laboratory in the Department of Kinesiology are looking for volunteers over the age of 18 years to participate in a research study.

The study is investigating newly developed heart rate sensors that can gather heart rate, breathing data and other cardiovascular information from a resting person without physical contact. It requires only one visit and lasts approximately 45-60 minutes. A DEXA scan is performed as part of the study and the results of which are provided at no cost.

Please contact Vanessa-Rose Turpin at vanessaturpin@k-state.edu for more information.

This study has been reviewed by the Institutional Review Board and received approval No. 9386.
