Recreational Services begins Phase 2 of reopening today
Recreational Services will reopen in different phases to help keep the K-State community healthy. New changes should be expected during each phase. Phase 2 begins Monday, Aug. 17, and will continue until Sept. 7, pending the COVID situation and changes.
During Phase 2, Recreational Services will continue to have limited hours. The Rec Complex will be open from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, and 1-6 p.m. on Sunday. The Rec Complex administrative office will be open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday to Friday and will be closed on Saturday and Sunday.
Additional policies and patron expectations, including required face coverings, closed drinking fountains and extra cleaning measures, will be in place. Patrons will have their temperatures checked upon entering the facility. Patrons are encouraged to maintain social distancing throughout the facility.
All students registered in fall classes will have facility access. All paid members will be allowed entrance but there will be no guest passes sold.
Open areas during Phase 2 include:
- Cardio deck.
- North and south weight rooms.
- Selectorized weights machines.
- Additional workout areas in small gym and MAC gym.
- Large running track.
- Mat stretching areas.
- Bouldering Wall.
- Water bottle refilling stations.
Closed areas during Phase 2 include:
- Locker rooms and showers.
- All courts, including basketball, volleyball and racquetball.
- Climbing wall.
- Fitness studios.
- Performance zones.
- Outdoor courts.
Services unavailable during Phase 2 include:
- Equipment checkout.
- Towel service.
- Personal training.
- Group fitness classes.
- Drinking fountains.
- Building reservations.
