Anthropologist presents kickoff lecture to museum exhibit in Amsterdam
Harald Prins, university distinguished professor of anthropology, presented an invited public lecture titled “Wenken naar Winnetou: Paradox van het Primitivisme in Visuele Media.” It was a successful kickoff to the public program of lectures and documentaries associated with a new museum exhibit on “American Indians, Art and Culture between Myth and Reality,” showing in the 15th-century Nieuwe Kerk next to the Royal Palace, The Netherlands, Jan. 5.
