New facilities management software contract

Submitted by Larry M. McGee

Kansas State University has awarded the facilities management software contract to AssetWorks Inc., a leading provider of fixed asset software solutions among large universities and research institutions — more than 100 sites across North America.

The company's Web-based software provides self service functions for facilities customers and will assist in the management of operations and maintenance for over 80 buildings comprising 7.6 million gross square feet on the university’s 664 acre main campus. AssetWorks will help fulfill the Division of Facilities' mission to create, maintain and protect the campus environment for nearly 24,000 students and over 10,000 faculty and staff. The project will kick off Feb. 1 with the completion date projected for August
