'The 2-Hour Job Search' author to present today

Submitted by Megan Ronnebaum

The K-State College of Business Administration will host speaker and author Steve Dalton as part of the Career Overdrive Speaker series on Thursday, Oct. 24, from 4-6 p.m. in 1088 Business Building.

Dalton will present on his book, "The 2 Hour Job Search," which gives career seekers a systematic, tech-savvy formula to efficiently and effectively target potential employers and secure the essential first interview. Through a prescriptive approach, Dalton explains how to wade through the internet's sea of information and create a job-search system that relies on mainstream technology such as Excel, Google, LinkedIn, and alumni databases to create a list of target employers, contact them, and then secure an interview — with only two hours of effort. Dalton comes from Duke's Fuqua School of Business as a senior career consultant and associate director.

All K-State students, faculty and staff are welcome to attend the presentation.
