Faculty and staff Student of Concern Guide

Submitted by Carolyn Jones

K-State is known as a university that has excellent student support. It wouldn't be possible to provide that support without the collaboration of our faculty, staff and campus partners. In an effort to make sure all faculty and staff know how to best help students in need, the Office of Student Life and the Office of the Provost have developed the Faculty/Staff Student of Concern Guide.

This week, new faculty, professional advisers and new graduate teaching assistants will receive a Student of Concern Guide postcard. This postcard will provide information on how to access the online guide to help faculty and staff find resources to address a number of student concerns. The guide can offer guidance on emergencies and situations in which a student may be in distress. The entire guide and reporting form is available online

If you ever have a question or concern regarding a student's well-being please do not hesitate to reach out to the Office of Student Life at 785-532-6432, stulife@k-state.edu, or stop by 201 Holton Hall. We are happy to help.
