Human Capital Services' talent acquisition director shares advice at student summit

Human Capital Services' Roberta Maldonado Franzen, director of talent acquisition, presented "Salary Negotiation During Job Interviews" at the inaugural Hospitality Summit March 14-15 at the K-State Alumni Center.
Maldonado Franzen was asked to present to hospitality students preparing to interview for positions at various companies and organizations. She provided tips on how to professionally and respectfully negotiate a job package which includes salary, vacation, insurance and other benefits, such as moving expenses.
More than 100 hospitality students were in attendance to learn tips on how to negotiate their salary during the interview process and how to leverage themselves as a future employee.
"It was an honor to share my experience and offer tips on how to negotiate salary when offered a position," Maldonado Franzen said.
The students were engaged and asked great questions as they prepare to enter the workforce upon graduation.
