Faculty and students present at the Big 12 Black Student Government Conference

Be Stoney, associate professor in curriculum and instruction, and students Kofi Anane-Sekyere, Marquis Golliday and Jesse Hill presented at the 39th annual Big 12 Conference on Black Student Government at the University of Kansas, Lawrence. They presented "10 Skills to Help African-American Students Learn Success on a Predominately White Institution Campus."

The 2016 conference theme was "Liberating Our Minds: Unleashing Our Power." The 39th annual Big 12 Conference on Black Student Government was Feb. 25-27, at the Kansas Memorial Union.

The Big 12 Council on Black Student Government is a regional Black Student Governing Body, which consists of the Black Student Governments from institutions in the Big 12 conference.
