Financial Wellness Workshop: Staying the Course

Submitted by Human Capital Services - Benefits

America Saves Week is a national effort that runs from Feb. 22-26. This national campaign is designed to encourage Americans to think about their savings plan and get prepared for the future.

Human Capital Services-Benefits is here to provide education and tools to help you achieve your financial goals. Join HCS and VOYA Financial for a financial wellness workshop Monday, Feb. 29.

We've listened to the feedback of those that have previously attended financial wellness workshops at K-State and are offering this workshop based on more specific desires for investing education.

Staying the Course: Reacting to fluctuating markets is a workshop geared toward investors who are interested in learning more about investment markets and the current fluctuations in the investment market. The workshop will discuss staying calm during periods of market change, as well as information and services that are available to help the investor stay focused on saving objectives and cope with the markets' ups and downs. The session will address dollar-cost averaging, asset allocation, diversification and common mistakes to avoid.

Join us on Monday, Feb. 29, in the Multipurpose Room of the Chester E. Peters Recreational Complex. Workshops will take place from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m and 6-7 p.m. Please feel free to bring a brown bag lunch to the early session.

Register for the workshop by clicking on a time listed above or by enrolling through Employee Self Service and navigating to Learning and Development > KSU Training Enrollment. The course number is WHR144.

Please feel free to bring a financial partner or spouse. We look forward to seeing you.
