K-State to host 'The Hunting Ground' 6 p.m. today

Submitted by Clara Kientz

The Center for Advocacy, Response and Education, Greek Affairs, Panhellenic Council and Interfraternity Council will host the screening of "The Hunting Ground" at 6 p.m. Sept. 17 in the K-State Student Union's Little Theater.

From the Academy Award-nominated filmmaking team behind "The Invisible War" comes a startling expose of sexual assault on U.S. college campuses, institutional cover-ups and the brutal social toll on victims and their families. "The Hunting Ground" challenges institutions of higher education to examine their institutional policies surrounding sexual violence and their response to campus survivors. "The Hunting Ground" premiered at the 2015 Sundance Film Festival and has since been screened on college campuses across the nation.

A panel discussion with community members and campus administrators will be after the film.
