Thompson featured on Canadian music ensemble's debut recording

Submitted by Patricia Thompson

LV Mendelssohn CD

Patricia Thompson, associate professor of voice in the School of Music, Theatre, and Dance, is featured on the Luminous Voices debut recording Mendelssohn's "Te Deum," commercially released March 31.

Thompson is a founding member of the Canadian vocal ensemble and is often featured in various repertoire in concerts in the Alberta Province, mostly around Calgary and Edmonton. This recording features Thompson as the mezzo-soprano soloist in Franz Schubert's "Ständchen," a work for solo voice and men's chorus. The recording is available through CD Baby, iTunes and the ensemble's website.
