Natural resources and environmental sciences secondary major students to present capstone research projects

Students in the natural resources and environmental sciences secondary major capstone course will present the findings from their semesterlong research projects from 9:40-11:30 a.m. Monday, Dec. 15, in 231 Ackert Hall.

Three projects will be discussed, including "Urban Stormwater Detention Basin Design: Warner Park Case Study" and "Urban Stream Water Quality: Analysis and Public Communication." Student work has been supervised this semester by faculty advisors Jim Steichen, biological and agricultural engineering, and Shawn Hutchinson, geography.

The presentations are open to the general public. Undergraduate students interested in natural resources, environmental science, and sustainability issues are especially encouraged to attend. The secondary major is supported by the Office of the Provost, College of Agriculture, College of Arts & Sciences and the biological and agricultural engineering department.
