University winter weather notifications

Submitted by Communications and Marketing

As winter weather has arrived in Kansas, now is a good time to be prepared to receive emergency notifications for the university, including the possible Declaration of Inclement Weather. Don't miss out if there is an announcement.

Sign up for K-State Alerts, the university's emergency notification system, or check the university's home page and local media for closures information. K-State Alerts sends emergency information quickly to the university community via text message, email or automated phone call.

Any K-Stater may sign up for alert notifications, which include any dangerous conditions on campus, when the university will have an unplanned closure or when campus will reopen following a forced closure.

To receive emergency notifications K-Staters must enroll in K-State Alerts through the eProfile system. Only current faculty, staff, and students with an active K-State eID are eligible to sign up for text messages and phone alerts. Eligible K-Staters can add contact information of parents, children and spouses when they sign up.
