2014 Outstanding Support to International Initiatives Award
The 2014 Outstanding Support to International Initiatives Award will be presented to the Kansas State University College of Architecture Planning & Design at the 2014 International Education Awards Reception at 5 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 18, in the Alumni Center.
Given by the Office of International Programs leadership team, this new award category was created in 2013 as part of International Education Week celebration to annually present to a university department or unit that goes above and beyond in promoting international initiatives and/or serving our global student body.
"The College of Architecture Planning & Design has served as an inspiration for our office for their outstanding efforts towards integrating study abroad into their curriculum," said Marcelo Sabates, associate provost for the Office of International Programs. "We were most impressed with their long-standing relationship with the Center for Higher Learning in Orvieto — this year's winner of the Innovative Educator of the Year Award."
The Office of International Programs is introducing and maximizing this partnership to other K-State colleges and departments who are determining how best to provide their students a unique international experience abroad.
"The Office of International Programs wants to publicly acknowledge their leadership for expanding and elevating the number of international opportunities for our faculty and students in line with our 2025 goals," Sabates said.
