Movies on the Grass film: 'STRAWS' Sept. 16

By Charlene Brownson

Movies on the Grass will show the film "STRAWS" at 8 p.m. Sept. 16 at Sunset Zoo.

According to the film's website, "With colorful straw history animation narrated by Oscar winner Tim Robbins, 'STRAWS' (30 minutes) leaves audiences with a clear understanding of the problems caused by plastic pollution and empowers individuals to be part of the solution."

The next Movies on the Grass film will be "Step" with a dance performance at 7 p.m. and film at 8 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 23, in Town Hall of the Leadership Studies Building.

The series also co-sponsors the UPC free screening of "Charlie vs. Goliath" at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 18, in the Wildcat Chamber at the K-State Student Union.
