About Testing Programs and Services
Mission statement
Testing Programs and Services is devoted to encouraging student success by aligning with its partners and the campus community, we support holistic, inclusive, research-based, and student-centered programs to enrich and support students as they strive to achieve their academic, personal, and career goals. We are committed to maintaining the security and confidentiality of personal and examination information while providing a secure, comfortable and distraction free environment for all test takers. Our Center adheres to the National College Testing Association (NCTA) Professional Standards and Guidelines.
Who We Are
National Test Center
Kansas State University is one of a number of National testing centers for assessments and exams providers in the United States. Most exams are offered nationwide simultaneously on designated dates through providers like ACT Inc., Educational Testing Services (ETS), and The College Board.
Controlled Test center
K-State also serves as a Controlled Test Center to many organizations that require a testing environment that provides information and data assurance measures, secure physical storage capabilities to ensure the safety and security of high stakes academic, commercial and professional testing.
What we do
Assessments
We offer assessments for students currently enrolled in high school through graduate school and others attempting to satisfy job placement requirements.
Certification and licensure
Kansas State University serves as a regional test center for a number of high stakes Internet-based test providers who offer certification and licensure exams to undergraduate, graduate, and community and workforce clients.
Credit for prior learning
We offer students a variety of credit for prior learning opportunities through College Level Examination Program (CLEP) and the DANTES Subject Standardized Subject Tests (DSST). Students may earn academic credit in specific courses by successfully completing exams accepted by their current institution.
Entrance and professional exams
We can help you find testing information and other program resources to assist you with preparing, registering, and completing your entrance and professional exams.
Proctoring
Any person seeking proctoring services for correspondence courses, distance study and other non-K-State exams may be proctored at the test center provided they meet and comply with the Center's policies and procedures, identification and fee requirements. Anyone wishing to receive this service must do so by completing a Testing Services Request form.
Hours of Operation
Our hours of operation is Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 P.M. Testing hours are from 9:00 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. Saturday testing is reserved for national and corporate testing clients.
