AMI Hires Finite Element Analyst to Expand Services

(Manhattan, Kan. February 17, 2010) – Matt Campbell has accepted the position of finite element analyst at Kansas State University's Advanced Manufacturing Institute to help expand its analysis services.

Campbell will be responsible for overseeing all finite element analysis assignments, providing input to engineering and product design solutions and assisting with design reviews. In this role, Campbell will be assisting industrial companies and university researchers.

"Matt participated in our undergraduate and graduate student intern programs and worked on numerous projects for clients such as John Deere, B&W Trailer Hitches and Blanchat Manufacturing. We have been impressed with his engineering skills, productivity and problem-solving capabilities," said Taylor Jones, chief engineer at the Advanced Manufacturing Institute. "His knowledge in finite element analysis is exceptional and he will be an asset to our team as we enhance our services in this area to meet customer demand."

Campbell has a bachelor's and a master's in mechanical engineering from K-State.
