AMI Selects Fall Interns

(Manhattan, Kan. September 9, 2008) – The Advanced Manufacturing Institute at Kansas State University has selected 21 students to serve as fall 2008 interns.

The institute provides K-State undergraduate and graduate students opportunities to gain hands-on experience through its paid internship program. The internships are an opportunity for students to be mentored by professionals in their area of interest, meet potential employers and enjoy a flexible work schedule, all while attending K-State.

Internships are available in engineering, business, communications and product design.

Sean Cillessen, a senior in mechanical engineering, Mulvane, has worked on a variety of projects in his two years as an intern at the Advanced Manufacturing Institute. One of his larger responsibilities included designing, building and testing a metal bonding machine for Cessna.
