About Us
Founded in August 1998, Kansas State University's Alpha Theta Eta chapter of Sigma Tau Delta is sponsored by the English Department.
Sigma Tau Delta is an International English Honor Society that has established chapters throughout the Eastern, Midwestern, Far Western, High Plains, Southern and Southwestern Regions.
Sigma Tau Delta encourages each individual member to thrive in the English language, literature, and writing. In terms of personal development, we uphold high academic standards, especially in English courses. We also provide leadership opportunities in order to teach responsibility and communication skills. Professionally, we promote interest in literature and the English language throughout the K-State campus, as well as promote literacy throughout the surrounding community.
