K-State Safe

K-State Safe is the official mobile safety app for Kansas State University. It provides a direct connection to K-State Police, tools to help you stay safe on campus, notifications and alerts, emergency response guides, maps, as well as various health, safety and wellness resources.Home screen on mobile device with options for each Kstate campus and to contact 911

K-State Safe replaces the Rave Guardian app, which the university will retire in October.

Safe Travel Features

  • Friend Walk: Send your location in real-time to a friend so they can watch you as you walk to your destination.
  • Virtual Walkhome: Send your location in real-time to K-State Police so they can watch you as you walk to your destination.
  • Wildcat Walk: Request a K-State Police escort to walk with you to your destination.
  • Safe Ride: Students on the Manhattan campus can get free or discounted late-night rides within the city limits during the eligible windows utilizing the Lyft app.

Contact Law Enforcement

  • Call 911: During an emergency select the button to call 911.
  • Contact K-State Police: Share information and safety concerns with K-State police via chat with the option to stay anonymous.

  • Multi-campus support: Select your K-State campus and receive location-specific information.
  • Resource Directory: Place a direct call to campus resources and support services with the option to share your location with safety officials during the call.
  • Safety Toolbox: Access a set of tools that you can use to enhance your safety.
  • Student Support Resources: Access some of the most common support resources available to help students enjoy a successful experience.
