Precision agriculture and machinery development is about maximizing energy efficiency, minimizing environmental impact, optimizing cropping inputs, and ensuring the capacity to feed, clothe, and fuel a growing population with dedicated enhancements to productivity and profitability for ag producers.
Dr. Sharda shared the innovative autonomous application system research project funded by NSF-USDA and Cotton Inc. supported Robotics Harvester projects at the recently held 2020 Beltwide Cotton Conference in Austin from Jan 8-10, 2020. Cotton Inc. is funding multiple facets of robotic harvesting system project to faculty in six Land Grant Universities including Kansas State University.
