Parchuri Lab
Welcome to the Parchuri Lab in the Division of Biology at Kansas State University. We are a collaborative and interdisciplinary group interested broadly in understanding and engineering plant lipid metabolism for the production of nutritional and industrial valued seed oils. Our lab brings together students and researchers who are excited about plant biology, metabolic pathways, and synthetic biology approaches to oilseed crop improvement.
We emphasize a supportive training environment where undergraduate, graduate, postdoc trainees gain hands-on experience in biochemistry, lipid analysis, genetics and synthetic biology. Our group values curiosity-driven science, teamwork, and open sharing of ideas.
The Parchuri Lab works closely with several research groups on campus and beyond, actively participating in K-State’s plant science community and national and international collaborations in plant lipid biology. We are committed to mentoring the next generation of scientists, fostering professional growth, and contributing to a vibrant scientific community.
