Visit our booth in the K-State Student Union from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. to learn about the chemistry department, which looks beyond the traditional divisions of chemistry and offers cutting-edge, multidisciplinary research. Our undergraduate educational program is designed to give hands-on experience in addition to an immersive and detailed curriculum. We will also have a fun hands-on activity for all ages: make slime and take it outside on a sunny day for an exciting surprise! Cyanotype demonstration

The K-State photography area will host a cyanotype demonstration, suitable for ages 5 and up. Cyanotypes are made with UV sunlight and chemistry and are exposed outside using large negatives. Visitors can take home dried works.

The premier on-campus livestock show will take place during Open House! Alpha of Clovia is a 4-H Cooperative Leadership House located near campus. Since 1931, the women of Alpha of Clovia have lived together in a cooperative manner — sharing housework and possessions to reduce the overall cost of living. Throughout the years, women from various backgrounds across the country have become members, participating in activities such as: philanthropies, house retreats, the annual national Clovia meeting and homecoming, among other social events. 4-H experience is not required to be a member, Clovia gives women the opportunity to acquire and grow their leadership skills.
